When can I request to add a UPI ID that does not match the name on my Primary UPI ID or does not belong to me?
In general, Jar only allows UPI IDs that belong to the same account holder for security reasons. However, exceptions can be requested in specific use cases, such as:
Example Scenarios:
- Parent - Child: Primary VPA in the parent's name, new VPA in the child's name.
- Husband - Wife: Primary VPA in the husband's name, new VPA in the wife's name.
- Death Case: Primary VPA holder is deceased.
- Different Name Formats - Minor variations like "A Rahul" vs "Anurag Rahul."
- Used Business Account First - First VPA added was a business UPI ID.
- Marriage - Name change post marriage.
If your case falls under one of these scenarios, you can request support to add the new UPI ID.
Note: Supporting proofs will be required to allow addition of new UPI ID
